So…it’s Friday. People are yaking yaking about Shakron dis and Shakron dat. Frankly…I feel sorry for her. She is being used by both parties, yeah…I said it.
PUP is telling Ms. Shakron “UDP fraid fi yu gial…dats why dey di go awn soh”, bolstering her ego so she can continue to run for them and help stave off collapse of a party which has been plagued by infighting and candidates dropping out.
I suspect the UDP doesn’t care all that much about the effect Shakron will have on its chances of winning. UDP is only using this whole Shakron ting to further discredit the PUP, call hypocrite and wipe Lisa Shoman‘s face with her own words. The UDP is simply having a free for all at PUP’s expense.
I don’t know you Ms. Shakron but I sure as hell would not be giving up my damn US citizenship for dis here bunch. And before anybody jumps me from behind, this ain’t about love of country…this is about love of self. You bettah love yourself more than any country and any people, BECAUSE at the end of the day, these fuckers ain’t go be nowhere round, come March 8th and she didn’t win or PUP happens to lose. It’s just tooooo much of a gamble and it must be difficult to put her life in such jeopardy, much less the lives and future of her kids at risk. Because, that is what it is people. See, what people don’t tell you is that once you get into politics like this, there is no turning back, EVER.
I hope you really have only the strongest convictions Ms Shakron, because at the end of the day, they will be all you have.

Unfortunately, Vonton, we have only been writing this blog for a mere 6 weeks or so and therefore did not have an opportunity to discuss anything about Mr. Shyne. We try to be relevant and current, hence the piece I wrote today. I’m not sure which part came across as partisan. That was surely not the intent and is definitely never the intent in any of our writings. As a matter of fact, in my backhanded, sarcastic, sardonic way I was trying to warn Ms. Shakron of the precarious position in which she had found herself. Now that the courts have declared her ineligible, I believe all of it is now moot, at least as far as these upcoming elections are concerned. I encourage you to peruse some of our other writings and musings and next time you write a comment, feel free to press Cancel instead of Post. LOL

Well Castro is also out because he holds dual citizenship and dats becaz he was outed by his own party…i for one think he got sacrificed for Lee Mark Chang caz more dan likely he has dual citizenship too among others from UDP…anywho I think both parties have good candidates and both have candidates dat make me say WTF!!! Eg) wat kinda Prime Minister puts a know Rock Head in charge Of a Ministry…and What kinda Minister does’nt have the sense to read what they are signing

Not everyone is cut out for it, but some people do love their country more than they love themselves, and there is nothing wrong with that!
Never give more than you can afford to lose and never give more than a person is able to accept. Only time will tell “hunta”. And I really don’t mind people disagreeing…I have lots of what I think are valid points to back up my opinion…and yes, it is only an opinion 🙂
The funny thing is in principle I completely agree with you. COMPLETELY! While Belize is my home and I can not think of living elsewhere, or rather I do not have the option to live anywhere else. I believe fundamentally as long as I am with my Wife and Daughter I would be happy living anywhere else on earth, Except Antartica, that place sucks balls! The point I was making is that thousands of people have given up so much, including their lives defending their country, soliders, statesmen, regular joes…. I find it quite admirable. It obviously just isn’t for everyone, including you…..AND ME! but it does not give us the right to judge someone who chooses their country before self.
Unfortunately for Ms Schakron and all other public figures, they do get to be judged, love. It is the name of the game and if you cant stand the heat…get out of the kitchen…
Spot on Dingleberry! On the news last night her face said it all. The reality of what she has done is be moving evident, I think! What I don’t understand is why wasn’t this a topic of discussion within her party before putting her name in the race?
On the topic of hypocrisy: I think both parties, red & blue are doing a great job of exposing their lack of sincerity when it comes to the issues at hand.
